Why We're Your
     "Love Breeds Champions" Rabbitry

"Love Breeds Champions" has been our motto since the early days of The Rabbit Tank. We have become more convinced with each passing year that this statement is true. All rabbits in our rabbitry are considered pets and are loved dearly. Every rabbit at The Rabbit Tank knows his or her name and is given attention daily. We are lucky enough to have an air conditioned living space where we actively work to spoil our bunnies!

We use high-quality Pen Pals Rabbit Feed as well as fresh grains and occasional treats. We use a water additive from
The Rabbit Medicine Chest and wholeheartedly recommend their products. Our breeding program is designed to work year-round and gives does a nice break between pregnancies.

We believe that every rabbit deserves the dignity of an appropriate living space and standard of health. In any group of animals, occasional health problems do arise and we have a very well-educated vet to help us out if it becomes necessary. We do not believe in culling a herd by killing rabbits. We also do not practice direct line-breeding.

The care of animals is sacred to our family. Every household our family inhabits has at least one dog and cat (and in mine, cavies and aquatic turtles!) Our animals are members of the family and are treated as such. There is nothing quite as soothing as the sound of fifty rabbits happily eating their dinner at feeding time! There is nothing like looking at a pedigree and recognizing and remembering each individual rabbit from generations ago. Rabbits only live about 6-7 years. They are not long in life but they are long in love.
